General InstructionsComputing the Cost of Pinoy Krismas


Sing along with the Apo Hiking Society's song "12 Days of Pinoy Krismas". Afterwards, compute the cost of all the items mentioned in the song to come up with the cost of a Pinoy Krismas.

Listed on the table below are the items mentioned in the song. Do you want to know how much it would cost you if you were to give all the items to any of your relatives and friends?

You do not really have to know the actual prices of the items; approximate values rounded to the nearest hundred will do. You may ask friends or relatives about the prices of some items. You may try to recall the prices of some items you have seen in your previous visits to the mall or grocery. Fill in the table in each tab below to arrive at the total cost.

Sing along with the song again but this time think of “The Cost of My Christmas.” Substitute the items mentioned in the song with your own gifts in mind. You can assign a gift for someone special for Day 1 and your best friends for Day 5 or plain friends for Day 12.

When you are done, you may want to do some follow-up activities.

After the activities you will realize the significance of budgeting in gift-giving while having fun at videoke and the math of Christmas.
